The redeveloped thoroughbred race track is designed with horse safety and welfare at the forefront and incorporates immersive visitor experiences through effective threshold design, connecting race goers to the whole race day experience.

The centre arena is envisioned to enable the Lockyer Valley to host international equine competition.
The proposed design includes a covered area of sufficient size, a below ground centre field with grass bank spectator seating. Vehicle and pedestrian access is provided via a tunnel under the thoroughbred racing and training tracks.
